Ok.....two weeks into this and I've dropped 9 pounds! Coffee, water (green tea or lemon added), and fruits, veggies, egg whites, & tuna has been all I've eaten. No red meat, no chicken or turkey. Noticed a big difference internally as I dont get cramps, chest pains, or aches anymore either. Surprisingly, I am not real hungry as long as I eat a little something every 2-3 hours, like an apple or banana. I've only had very limited gym exposure too (didnt realize how hard this would be with a baby.) Anyways, gonna finish out the month like this and hopefully drop 15-20 total pounds before I slowly start adding chicken, turkey, healthy stuff back into my regular diet.

RIght now, the 3 cups of coffee & banana get me to lunch.
Lunch is broc or celery, carrots, salad or tuna.
Dinner is hot peppers, salsa, cabbage or veggie soup, salad, or tuna.

Snacks mixed in throughout (veggies or fruits) & vitamin supplement added also.

Another option worth trying or as a meal replacement is juicing. Get a decent juicer, and go to town. I do this usually once a week in the summer and when fruit is in season. :drink:

Sounds like you're doing well, good luck!

Avoiding added sugar and heavily processed foods is the next most important step.

there is something you can do without stop eating meat if you like, eat around 200 to 300 grms of meat plus a portion of veg and salad for lunch and for dinner just dont eat meat...i mean the joke is to eat meat once at day, except for pork. the rest of the day eat what ever you want but you sould do 5 meals at day and try not to eat carbs, no rice no bread not such a thing as pizza :( but everithing else you can try :D

I have been a total vegetarian for 10 years, and feel great. (Do occasionally eat eggs and cheese.)

You have to be very careful, though. When I first became one, I increased my carb intake and put on about 15 pounds. Now, I eat mostly fresh fruits and vegetables, and alot of rice and beans. Also eat small meals with about 4 or 5 snacks throughout the day (nuts, carob chips, raisins, pita bread with hummus) and have kept the weight down. Also avoid white flour products as much as possible.

FYI: THis is pretty good.......In a blender blend a bag of frozen berries, a banana, vanilla yogurt, and a glass of ff super skim organic milk......tastes pretty damn good as long as your fruits are ripe & fresh.

OK fellas.....after the first month, I've dropped 16 pounds!!! Now at 208 from 224. This has been the fastest I've ever lost the weight. I was only going to do this for a month, but I feel too damn good right now physically and love seeing the pounds drop off. Gonna keep it up and may add the turkey/chicken back on a slow basis......no soda, red meat, or enriched anything.

I'm trying to be vegan. But I screw up sometimes.

The thing I noticed is that you can control your eating better for whatever reason. Which leads to weight loss.

I have been at it long enough that I actually feel bad when I screw up.
