Barons started 11 sophmores last year, Iulio Talavou goes both ways and is a future NFL star, at 6-3 310, he is leaning towards being a Trojan with Byu being in the mix also. Coach Eric Johnson makes good halftime adjustments but Mission Viejo's Bob Johnson and his illegal recruiting are loaded this year . Last I heard coach Bob was suspended for some infractions that took place at a summer Nike Camp, he is suppose to sit out 1 game. Mission Viejo has the most corrupt program in the southland, and he has no promblem running up scores, Diablos are coming off a 15-0 record and are a good bet to defend there div 2 title from last year.

Los Al always finds a way to lose disappointing games like this. Since they moved up to 5A they have been a candidate for national top 25 almost every year and what has it gotten them? I think I figured it out too, the whole school suffers from this. They get a few great athletes, guys that get groomed by their rich parents from birth to be stars. Then they get players they "recruit" into district because the parents love the school's quality ratings in education. But everyone behind them is just a soft suburban kid. And you can't win with 3 or 4 great athletes and then a bunch of decent but not great players, even if you have a HS legend as a coach. And baseball, what a sorry joke that has been many years. One year they had 4 guys that ended up playing in the majors, including JT Snow and Rob Nen! They didn't even get far in the CIF playoffs with that team. Unreal when you think about it. I think its the unfortunate truth about the team, they aren't as talented after the 4 or 5 big names each year and it always costs them games against good programs like Hart and Mater Dei.
