who cares, its like comparing a 12-25 team to a 10-27 team.As if Canada was ready, lol. Both countries shut their economies down. Trudeau likely will get a pass as Canadians will think; 'oh, look we have little deaths compare to other countries!!'. Good grief, Canadians voted him back in- reap what u sow

NYC has a population density of 27K/sq.m

Downtown Vancouver its reported as 43K/sq.m.

I haven't seen any reports of the downtown Vancouver hospital being overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients. They even refused a donation of medical masks because they were not sealed. Also, BTW, the area is said to have had 16% of Chinese origin:

"Emergency room visits have dropped by half compared to this time last year, and calls for ambulance service are down as well, said Dix."

You are looking at the whole city of NY instead of the sections with the highest number of coronavirus cases. You also have to look at traffic from other countries too.

Simply put, New York City is massive. Even though it’s got roughly half the area of Vancouver, the population density is double what we’re able to muster. Over eight million people packed together day in and day out make a busy stroller and shopper laden weekend on Robson Street look like a day in the park.

There was quite a lot of air traffic from Vancouver to China & back. Though i'm sure NYC got it from Europe & countries like Spain & Italy. Still, why isn't Vancouver, especially the downtown high population density area, suffering like NYC is?

For the same reason that Phoenix, San Antonio and Dallas didn't get hit hard. The state of Texas is huge and there have been a total of 133 deaths. Foreign traffic along with a high population density means trouble.

IYO what's the reason "Phoenix, San Antonio and Dallas didn't get hit hard" & "Texas is huge and there have been a total of 133 deaths"? Not many Chinese live there & or these places receive few travelers from China?

There are cities in the US with close to the same population as Vancouver that haven't been hit hard.

There's huge population of Chinese workers in Italy that traveled back to China for a celebration. No one knows the true count in China but there have been 15k deaths in Italy and 12k in Spain.

Trump acted first
Canada does not have and urban communities that remotely resemble the largest and most impoverished US cites

The biggest difference between the two nations is that the liberal media and the liberal prime minister play for the same team

The author is spreading that libtardvirus, far more dangerous to society long term. He's ignorant, he's proud, he has no idea he's inflicted, he's spoon feeding others that don't THINK for themselves

Correct! While Trump was banning flights from China, Trudope was gallivanting in Africa until mid February trying to secure a seat on the UN security council. He was still talking about it in late February. One of the only things Trudope did in February was sending 16 tonnes of medical supplies, (masks, protective gear) to China to help them combat their virus. Now many hospitals are short on protective gear.

Canadian health care system is vastly better designed to serve it's citizens while ours is geared to serving the rich and ignoring the masses. A crisis like this and the superior results you see in Vancouver vs say chaos in NYC or Detroit bears this fact out
