Jay C-
Excellent post. Exactly the way it should be.

The only way to verify the BJ would be if the book's stats and actual card counts were available for outside verification.

Now, one thing that could be done is to certify the companies that sell casinos to multiple books and make sure the software has no "cheater" programming. The books are not going reprogram the card shuffler themselves.

I have to jump in here. The title of the thread says "according to experts" but no such documentation is offered.

Is it possible that some books have software that allows the house to manipulate the odds? Yes. Does that mean that all books do? No.

The only book I can speak with first hand knowledge is WSEX. The WSEX software creates a deck, shuffles, and deals. There are NO payout adjustments, NO difficulty settings, NO "suck in" routines, and NO way to pull cards. It shuffles a deck and deals. That's it.

At the end of every month, it holds slightly better than theoretical, and that's only because most people don't play perfect strategy. Otherwise I am sure it would be holding close to dead theoretical.

Any place that does anything other than shuffle and deal is crooked in my opinion.

What you need to ask yourself is the same question you need to ask yourself when you play at a sportsbook. "Am I playing at an honest, reputable shop?" It can't be yes for sports and no for the casino. They are honest and reputable or they are not.

Bajesus!! I believe you. As I also believe there are others who have had a great deal of success along with myself. Ive been playing just about everyday for 3 years now online. This in just a small sample:

9/8 +600
9/9 +600
9/10 +1000
9/11 +1350
9/12 +1250
9/13 +1100
9/14 +2150
9/15 +900
9/16 +2050 after just splitting 8s three times and ending up with 15 on one hand,14 on the other,15 on the other and 14 again on the other. Dealer shows 3, 9 underneath hits a 10. All hands win for a total of 1200.
Patience and discipline are the keys to all you doubters.

Open a new account, and make your first play at the BJ table for the house max and you will lose 99.9999999999999999999999999 % of the time.

If you are winning $10,000 one day its because you lost $100,000 the day before.

And as far as that opening a new account and wagering the max on the first hand and losing 99.99% of the time, that is total BS in my experience. More than 50% of the time you will win the first hand as the "suckering in" theory applies here.
