Those with big government policies (socialist really) tend to do better with those that make less. It's an easier sell.

Hence Trump doing better than Romney with lower income and doing worse with higher income.

just clearing it up

That's not going to be a popular opinion down here.

Why not?

I doubt anyone wants to go to bat for Trump being a strong free market advocate and fiscal conservative.

Even Stephen Moore said the GOP is a populist party now. Populism isn't a coherent political ideology, it basically just means say whatever the people want to hear.

I would think not, but you have many Trump supporters down here who see themselves as pro-limited government.

Yesterday, Zit said.

Dave chimed in with this in response.

Joe followed with.

And yet here we have Dave contributing gems like this a day later.

Flourishing with real debate and discussion indeed. Sometimes you just have to laugh.
That was my way of saying I'm bored and will stop the back and forth with you.

His VP is a fiscal conservative.

His list of judges are very conservative.

His cabinet selections thus far are very conservative.

And his promise to cut taxes and roll back the power of the left's regulatory state indicate he's more pro-market than pro-state.

Donald Trump Picks GOP Oil Industry Ally, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, to Lead EPA

DRILL, BABY, DRILL!

Mind you, if I were POTUS, I would shut down the EPA altogether, but then I'm more pro-free market than Milton Friedman. :)

He's less statist than modern Democrats obviously. But that isn't setting the bar very high.

If he got his way, he would spend a trillion dollars on pork barrel spending. The entire GDP of the economy is 18 trillion, so he wants to inject 5.5% of deficit spending into the economy. Even Hillary's plan was like 1/4th the size of this. There is only really 1 thing to call that.

As far as Pence goes

At the conference, Pence defended the arrangement by declaring that "the free market has been sorting it out and America's been losing." After which, according to The New York Times, President-elect Donald Trump cut in to agree, saying, "Every time, every time."

Calling government problems a "free market failure" is straight liberal playbook 101.
