Wow, what did I miss while I was not around? lol
Seriously though, I don't worry about who likes or does not like a particular betting side in a game. This is not a competition to me. The only people I care about destroying are the bookmakers.
Strategy is off to a great start this season as well. I hope he tears it up as I don't root against people winning. If we all end up positive at the end of the season, then we have accomplished our goals. It is not any handicapper vs any handicapper but us against the books.
During the season, we will agree on plays & disagree on plays. Regardless of how those situations turn out, all I care about is ending up in profit. I have never had a losing season in the WNBA & I sure won't start now. I post here every year & if it helps just one person out, I am fine with that.
As far as LA goes, I just don't buy into the team. I did not buy into them last year with all the nonsense about how they should not lose a game all season, etc...
The talk going into this year was a bit similar especially with the additions but I am not buying it. They imo have too many options & it will get worse when CP comes back. They have 3 legitimate people who want to be the first option in Leslie, Thompson, & Lennox.
They do not look like a cohesive unit under any circumstances. Their PG play has been lousy on top of that. Are they the best team in the league? Absolutely not as they are not even the best in their conference & I will guarantee they won't represent the West in the Finals.
However they are not the worst team either, their losses were setups if you really look at it. They were due their ass kicking by Detroit as the Shock are the 2nd best team at paying someone back. Minnesota was a buzzsaw to start the year, & Indiana needed the win & were at home.
Can LA win the game? Sure, they could, I just don't believe they will. Phoenix has been playing better albeit far from their potential. The line should be around 8 based on my ratings so getting much less is a gift to me. If I lose, so be it, I would not change how I see the game.
QOH is right though, I usually would not take the time to answer questions that to me seem ridiculous. No offense this would qualify considering when have I ever cared what someone else was playing as it would not sway me either way.
I respect a few & like to see if we are on the same page or how they are seeing things. In the end though, it does come down to my choice on how I see things.
As far as some being better off donating money, etc.... I agree 100%. I will never understand why someone would wager on a sport they know next to nothing about by following someone & then bitch when the person loses a game or two. BULLSHIT!
