Anyone who is sick of bonus talk, fine dont ever take a bonus from a book again. However, this reminder is for the rest of us players who will take a bonus from a book that we know wont be going under anyway.
I guess it is all how you look at things. From a business/investment perspective, if you are going to deposit $1000 and you dont take the $100 that is just plain foolish. Oh well, I realize there will always be the handful of posters who dont have 2 nickels to rub together but like to play Bill Gates and act as though they are too good to take a bonus. More power to them. I for one will not flush $100 down the toilet, I play to win not to lose. Besides, whether a local gives a bonus or not is totally irrelevant.

tx pat, but its still early .......kudos for your efforts on behalf of the stiffed plyrs ........good to know that there are folks like yourself out there that can look past the anger and direct their energy towards finding a solution instead of just venting their anger at what shld be considered an occupational hazard to the serious plrs..........as for recreational guys who got stung, hey, this isnt disneyland, their ARE gonna be crooks, thieves and hustlers in this business and you gotta accept that if you post up w/ an offshore (costa rican esp.) book there is gonna be a chance you will get ripped off..........i know it aint perfect but it is the way it is ..........i'm fairly new to this game but as far as i'm concerned, the best way to approach this is to do your homework and rely mostly on word of mouth from peple you trust who have had good exp w/ an individual book .........my experience is that where there is smoke, there's fire........here's hopin the world don't end when the next book goes down and PINNACLE or BOWMANS are the only place i'll park ant SERIOUS cash ............fwiw

jimmy- Olympic is a solid book and has a lot of betting options and they put up a lot of props. Their vig is a bit steep on some stuff and their straddles are a bit too wide on some of their props. When you do have to talk to the phone personnel, overall they're not the brightest people in the world but Olympic is a good place to have an account because you do have so many things to bet on.

They are pretty much the same thing, with 1 distinction.
A bonus is free money given to someone for making a deposit into that given book.
Free contest money is free money given to someone who most likely would not and will not ever make a real money deposit into that given book.

They have some draw-backs(high vig, 20 cent baselines,etc.) but I keep an out there simply because they put up lines early. If anybody puts up earlier lines please let me know.
I like their spin-off at Betjamaica too but for different reasons. Few over-nights but good cs and non-vanilla lines and decent bonus

I would like to say that Olympic is 100% safe and responsible. Being the number one leader is sports wagering is a tough task. Getting paid is the #1 consideration when selecting a book. Their odds/vig/juice are a 'bit' out of hand at times. For the amounts you are wagering unfortunately this may not be the book for you. You did mention that you wanted piece of mind and to be able to sleep with your money not absconding to another country. You WILL NEVER EVER have to worry about that with Olympic. I know this was probably not what you were to trying to gather with your inquisition. But, if you are going to play with Olympic, sleep tight knowing that your post-up as well as any subsequent winnings will be there waiting for YOUR call.
