Pasta lover gorges on Olive Garden twice a day for more than 6 weeks
Alan Martin was one of the 1,000 people who purchased a 'Never Ending Pasta Pass' for $100 that covers unlimited pasta dishes for seven weeks. Martin is taking the promotion to the extreme — devouring $1,500 worth of food so far — and hopes to be the person that eats the most when it ends on Sunday.

Mama Mia! That's a lot of pasta.
A North Carolina man is trying to determine his Italian food breaking point by eating Olive Garden twice a day for more than six weeks.
And he has a few more days to go.
Alan Martin told TV Station WGHP he is one of 1,000 people who purchased a"Never Ending Pasta Pass" from Olive Garden and is on a mission to eat more food at the chain restaurant than anyone else.
"I would love to be the person that ate the most of the 1,000 people. That would be a good contest to win," Martin told the station, "because that means I got the most value out of the card of anyone in the United States."
I would love to be the person that ate the most of the 1,000 people.
He paid $100 for the pass, which lasts between Sept. 22 to Nov. 9 and includes unlimited pasta entrees and Coca-Cola beverages.
And if he brings guests, the pass covers their Coca-Cola drinks as well.
He told the station he has consumed 95 meals that without the pass would have cost him $1,510.
Possibly even more amazing is the fact he says he has not gained any weight during this feat.

The pass, which was sold to 1,000 people, expires Sunday at which time Martin said he'll try a "big burger or pizza, I don't know."
Sounds like a man who is not ready to give up pasta just yet.
