its a real shame that a thread like this has to be posted in the RR.....its a thread that should be discussed in the main forum........good arguments on boths sides....cept for the flaming........
newport....is far from a novice gambler....if he feels buying 2 points gives him an advantage in a certain situation.....that doesnt neccesarily make it a "square play".......
imo...i wouldnt do it..(but thats just me).....and i would only recommend that it be done by someone who is gambling savy....newport fits that bill.......but alot of gamblers dont though....

i agree dimesplayer. it was never intended to be a bash type thread. i was just asking for some advice and an opinion from mr. ted. for some reason, the moderators feel the need t move my stuff because i allegedly "instigate." dont know why. i guess it's the posters' loss for not being able to read this discussion.
The only reason my 2 point buy got so much attention....is BECUASE IDENTITY QUESTIONED IT EARLIER IN THE NIGHT AFTER I POSTED IT in MY THREAD, AND THEN NOT ONLY DID I PUSH BECAUSE OF THE BUY DOWN, AND "ID" HAD TO GO TO BED WISHING HE HAD NEVER COMMENTED IN"MY THREAD FIRST".....
HE ALSO KNEW HE LOST A GAME BY NOT BUYING A HOOK ON A TOTAL....worst gambling known to man. (now we all know he does not gamble anyways, so he technically lost nothing. )
but the WHOLE REASON THIS IS EVEN BEING DISCUSSED IS BECAUSE IT FVKIN "BLEW UP IN ID'S FACE" He made the comment in my thread calling my buy down STEAP, and he got crushed when my buy down saved me a LOSS, and he did not even buy the HOOK on hos total. Did he come back to his comment in my thread, and say anyhting about how my buy down worked. No he didn't he slithered into his chat rat internet world. ID is an NON GAMBLING CHAT RAT LOSRER. and the beauty is that no ONE is going to FIGHT with him anymore. Because he is a NON FACTOR in this years SEASON, because the MODS are about to send him to SYBERIA. His Baseball thread was posted after the games started yesterday. and he went 3-5 anyways, And could not even win a play that was "no score in the first of the Tigers game" even thou he posted it at 8:07.
And Guess what?? only 44 people even looked at his trash Please will someone show me where I condone buying 2 points ALL THE TIME. The only reason he questioned it, was because it worked this time. I never boasted on my move EVER. BUT I HAVE SAVED PARLAYS ON PUSHES BECAUSE OF MY BUY DOWNS IN THE PAST....
Also if you are adaily baseball gambler, paying 160 is not a major deal for a favorite or a first 5 inning line. And I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT IF you are a parlay player, PLAY WITH a firm that allows you BEFORE confirming the bet to BUY points in the NFL or COllege, you play with that FIRM. Why not give some potential profit to own some insurance, when a parlay is a parlay. Meaning they all have to win or PUSH
