Ted, Our league is based on the entire defense. A lot of weight is given to how many points your defense allows, another level after about each 7 points the D allows. With negative points kicking in if allowing over 28. Team gets points for scores by the Defense, sacks, and turnovers.
You post so much here, I hate to take your time. If you had to pick one, you could throw me your 1st choice. It's a tossup for me as well. I considered Cle because Balt may not score much, but then again they may just run Lewis and not give me many sacks or picks. Don't know if Philly / Pitt would be a shootout. San Diego? Don't know when a shootout may take place there either.

Now that you've explained your league, let me offer the following thoughts. Believe the San Diego game will be somewhat high scoring with sacks and turnovers expected. Feel Baltimore will be able to score significantly on Cleveland yet their defense will put pressure on the Browns thus both sacks and turnovers should come. Don't expect Philadelphia/Pittsburgh to necessarily be a shootout but could be high scoring. Expect Philadelphia to use it's normally gambling defensive blitzes which potentially could cause turnovers and sacks but could be burned as well. Since you get points for fewer points allowed plus sacks and turnovers, I would lean slightly to Philadelphia. Tough call. Best of luck.

As many of you have no doubt read, seen or heard, Duce Staley is out for today's game between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. I felt it only appropriate to mention that since I posted Pittsburgh before the information regarding his injury and thus his subsequently being placed inactive. I will continue to hold my play with no buy back as I think the spot is still good as expect Jerome Bettis to fill the spot as well as others. If the holes are there, the running game should still be available. That being said, recommend that anyone considering this game strongly evaluate your comfort level. If this development makes you uncomfortable, then by all means, drop the game. There are always games to be played. No need to stay with this play. Best of luck to everyone today.

So far, football season has been pretty decent. A bit of a stumble yesterday, but so far, so good today. As for the NBA, haven't posted yet and don't anticipate doing so except intermittently throughout the season on key games, but more so following completion of college hoops in April during the playoff stretch drive and then the playoffs themselves. If you wish, I can e-mail you the names of the cappers who have proven to be very solid in the NBA. Let me know if you would like me to do so. If your address hasn't changed, no need to re-post it here.
