MSU plays the 7th toughest schedule in the nation OMT so they are no strangers to the fire. They do hold a +3.5 overall rebounding margin and rank in 2nd in the Big Ten in total rebounding. Where MSU is weak however is defending the 3 point shot with opponents having a 42% rate. Look to see if Green can have a big day on the boards for the Spartans while getting better perimeter defense as a team. Look to see also if MSU can average around 34 per half to come in around 68 and keep OSU under 75. If so you will have a 1.5 point margin and get it in the barn. BOL today and I will prepare for the cold weather that is forecasted for tonight in our area. No snow but temps down around 20 with strong winds. BBRRRR. Cold enough for me.

As you know, I don't post many of these and never know when the match-ups will present all the elements I handicap. So far, 2012 has been good with the 5* plays going 2-0, albeit those were in football. Let's see if we can collect on the first one in college hoops. Best of luck to you tonight! :toast:

Laying 9 to the Spartans the way they are currently playing is heavy lumber IMHO. Sullinger was questionable for the Buckeyes with an injured nose. Not sure if he will be wearing a mask or not. Never thought I'd root for the other side of the counter but in this case, I'll be pulling for you my friend! :toast:

Being a Buckeye I have no idea why the spread is 9
I would think it would be a close game and Mi State moneyline isn't far fetched.
but everytime I think this way OSU plays great and the opponent plays
god awful.

Thank you for posting your thoughts my good friend. I envision a rugged defensive battle in this important Big 10 match-up. Don't see either team reaching 70. More like in the mid 60's and with the spread being at 9, the Spartans receiving a very nice number in a game that appears to me will be a grind all the way to the finish.

P.S. Being from the Bay Area, we never see the 20's where I live and I don't like the cold either. Best of luck to you tonight and enjoy the game! :toast:

I duly respect the Buckeyes, particularly their ability to crank up the defense at home, but have to agree that the 9 just is too much to give the Spartans. Not sure the Spartans can pull an outright win, but as you said, the game should be tight. It won't bother me if the Buckeyes win but don't cover. That way we'll both be happy! :toast:

Matt Cain from the San Fransico Giants is playing very well at the Pro Am at Pebble Beach OMT. The announcer said he out drove Michelson on one hole and Cain did look confident in his interview as he and his partner are currently -18 only two back from the leaders.
