I would think if New England was inflating their footballs to 12.5 and no more than that number at room temperature before the game, they are going to lose some of that PSI during the game. In fact the colder it is the more i would think it would go down. I don't think losing it down to 10.5 is completely out of the question. And exactly how much difference did it make? Don't the officials handle the ball on every play? And it supposedly took them a half of a football game to figure this out? It couldn't have been THAT big of a difference...
still don't get some of these responses here.. all this doesn't matter because the game was a blowout ? so the cheating is ok because the Colts got blown out ? pretty ignorant response if you ask me... to be honest we're not seeing the Colts crying about all of this... the whiny cry babies some of you are referring to are some of the biggest names of the sport... no bigger name then Jerry Rice in this sport.. he's flat out calling the Pats cheaters... deal with your cheating with the HOF's judging you.... that's the peers you need to be convincing , not the Colts.. If you all don't like being called a cheat, don't cheat..
Wonder why rice is passionate about this subject?
The only thing I questioned was when and where were the balls inflated? Were both sides inflated or checked at the same time at room temperature? Did Indy inflate their footballs to 13 PSI to account for the colder weather? Do these same footballs go through the same rigors on the sidelines such as kickers and punters practicing with them before and during the game, or are these different balls? I'm not saying the Patriots did or didn't cheat, I'm just saying that all of the scientific stuff should have been disproved before they made all of these accusations.Ba‘al Zəvûv;10955178 said:Those that have taken the time themselves, Sooner, to compare balls at legal and the 2 lbs. less this controversy is about now understand why Officials might miss illegal psi ball.
Even if we assume the worse: Legal is 12.5 -13.5 psi. Pats are accused of "2 lbs. lighter than legal" so 10.5 psi.
Rather than make a long post just, I would encourage you to compare yourself. Any School with football team, Sporting Goods Store and other places near you would make possible to accomplish this.
Unless you squeeze near the laces it is very very hard to tell a difference.
As to the rest of what you say, yes, of course impacts (spiking or Wilford falling on ball), weather including shifts in barometric pressure and temperature can cause loss of psi but not applicable here because 11 balls were illegal & other balls were not.
Best hope for Resolution is for Brady to throw Ball Boy under the Bus.
Thank You for the nice change of pace of someone injecting reason and intellectual thought/examination into this and...objectivity....God, rare like a 66 lb. Truffle, objectivity up in here and even moreso within the American Sports Media.

cheating is cheating, even if you are the better team folks

What we are arguing about now is if it happened as result of specific instruction from Belichick and/or Brady or if decreasing psi (because it is so very hard to detect) is such common practice in NFL that Equipment Personnel would do this without having to have had instructions from above.
By the way.....if I come to CR and wanna work in a book anyway I can live at the beach and do that?
Like, could I telecommute (work via computer or answer Customer Service calls on my personal phone while drunk on Tequila on the beach) or would I have to be in the office in San Jose?
Any books with offices by the beach?

90% of the sportsbooks are in the capital San Jose... there's only one at the coast that I know of (in Jaco) and is supposed to be a very good place to work at... weather they hire gringos with no working papers I have no clue... all shops used to do this 10 years ago... now they just dont take the risk.
cheaters will always be cheaters, thieves will always be thieves, whores will always be whores, drunks will always be drunks and so on... crazy people will always be crazy people... these are just personality disorders engraved on people's instincts.

Theres a place recommended to me with "Blue" in the name....bar...hotel....hotel/bar...I forget.
I have it written down somewhere.
"papers" required distresses me. Thought I'd just be able to show up and get a job.
I do know I'd have to leave every 90 days and go to.....Guatemala was it?
Honduras Nicaragua something like that....then re-enter after a period of time.
That Jaco pocket...it IS on The Caribbean coat, yes?

Mike Tyson has changed pocket.
As result of a terrible tragedy, yes, so maybe its really really rare and only accomplished by those so very few who venture to the edge of the Abyss pocket and stare directly into the heart of Darkness but if Mike can change surely anyone can.
Yes, pocket?
I'm more of a mountain cabin guy... cold weather, scotch, a good lay... I'm too pasty I can't stand the heat without getting red as a dog's dick.
people change or crash, people change when is usually almost too late. Mikey changed yes but he wasted all of his money before doing so... Bill and Tom never have been near the abyss, doubt they feel the need to redeem themselves or change!
