He won the Heisman Trophy in 1985 and was the MVP of the MLB All-Star Game in 1989. He started for both MLB's KC Royals and NFL's LA Raiders in 1988 and '89.
Another favorite player.......retired in 1989 after 14 years in Seattle with then NFL records in passes caught (819) and TD passes caught (100); elected to U.S. House of Representatives (R, Okla.) in 1994 and Pro Football Hall of Fame in '95; ran for governor of Oklahoma in 2002 but suffered a narrow defeat.
