Its Outbacks defense, there are not many steak house chains out there. So it does not take much to be the worst, but it has been going down hill over the years. I use to like the place. Was never great but it was ok for the price. Not any more though. My last time 2x there was just so awful I have had no desire to try again.

outback is pretty horrible. Their chicken quesadilla is ok.

But it's a chain restaurant so you can't expect much

I always loved the people who think places like outback, Red Lobster, Olive Garden are fancy

Being a chain is no excuse.
Plenty of great chain steak places .
Ruths Chris and Mortons to name a few

Right between San Diego and LA. I was referring to less upscale chains. Outback, Black Angus, Claim Jumper and I think we have a Lonestar somewhere around here. But the distance between some of these location is over an hour away (with little to no traffic) There is the fancy dinning as well but when you are paying closer to $100 person, food better be great.

I will have to try Lonestar since it seems to be getting lots of praise.

Man in the south they are on literally on EVERY corner. A couple can eat and drink for ~60 or so

I wont defend outback, but i spent about 3.5 weeks in Australia back in the late 90's and those girls like to have fun and many think and party like dudes....might be a little tougher to find a smoking hot one than in LA or Miami, but they love american accents and get after it more than most. Just like american chicks dig dudes with aussie accents, we get the same love over there from their women. Almost got in a few tussles at the bars as the local dudes dont like it...called us "septic tank yanks"...but whatever....if that is the best you can come with I will just laugh and take your lady home (at least back then)....

Going to the Outback for a steak is like going to Ruth's Chris for the chicken. I've eaten there maybe 5 times, nothing special.

When I go to Ruth's Chris I get the chicken 75% of the time

Used to hit the happy hours and eat there after college, taste buds pretty undeveloped at that time. Received a giftcard from a relative and went for first time in 15 years, thought it sucked. Felt like an overpriced Fridays.

Can't afford the steak?

The chicken cost as much as the steak. If you ate their you would know that .

The reason for the chicken is because it jives with my diet and way of life better
a ribeye has almost 1200 calories. The chicken has less then half that

Must be a WAY different menu at your bayou Ruths Chris.......Chicken is 1/2 the cost of a good steak here. Sounds like you are the one who's never been.

I've never been to a Ruths Chris. Steak is one thing I can make as good as any restaurant with the right cut. Can't remember ever going to an Outback either.

I sure you are aware Ruth's Chris was founded in Louisiana and I have been to the founding location many times.

So there is that
