Defy when you say "deals" with sign ups, what does one do to "deal with" sign ups? What is the process?

Does a Mod PM the person, welcome them and show them a link to the off shore and INVITE them to post there?

"Dear boatboatboat, thank you for signing up at the RX. I have enclosed a link to the off shore section of our fourm. In this section our regulars just stop in and chit chat, we would LOVE to have you join our group. Here at the RX people cap and comment games in the various sports fourms, and use the off shore section as an area to hand out and enjoy talking with other players. We look forward to talking with you"

Than assign a Mod to that poster, so that when ever that person post for the first 2 mths or so, they get a response of some type (for sure) make them feel welcome, and part of the "family".

This ain't rocket surgery.

people that sign up go through a verification process just like with any other thing u sign up for on the internet.

thats all he meant is we see the amount of signups per day and how the newer guys dont post much out the gate.. but they definitely are reading and will acclimate themselves with the forum and feel comfortable enough to post and make threads and what not soon enough.

Hey, I have a thread with close to 6K hits in a little over a week. Doesn't hurt that it is full of hot, half naked women ... But still that's not a bad number of hits.

Chop let me ask you something...Where are you going with this and what are you trying to prove? It almost sounds as if you are a shareholder and decreased traffic hurts your bottom line.

You are a pretty smart guy. I am sure you make most of your own picks and don't really rely on the forums for much other than basic entertainment. So why are you so concerned with the traffic situation?

Good question.

Let me answer it this way.

Lets say in your hometown you have a favorite restaurant.
Its your favorite place to eat in the world.
Its not only your favorite restaurant, its everyone else's favorite place to eat in your town to.
This place gets real popular because its so much better then any other restaurant withen 100 miles of your house.

Then one day the owners of your favorite restaurant get the big head, and they think they are invincible because they are the #1 restaurant. They will always be #1 right?
Its there birthright. The local newspaper wrote an article in the paper. It won awards. It was on the food network. We are going to be #1 forever they say.
They get 10000 customers a week. People have to make reservations days if not weeks in advance. Everything is fine and dandy.

Then you notice the last 2 or 3 times you went there it was not quite as good as it use to be.
You notice the wait staff is not nearly as courteous as they use to be.
You notice the staff is not as high quality as it once was.
You notice the food is not quite as fresh.
You notice the ingredients are not as high quality as they use to be.
You notice the portions have been cut in half, and the price almost doubled.

You also notice that although the place is not empty, its certainly not full like it use to be.
When you called to make a reservation they tell you there is no need to make one there will be an opening.

You go up to the manager and tell him or her your concerns about the last 2 or 3 times you went there.

The manager rudely tells you to shut the fuck up and dont worry about. He or she tells you if you dont like it dont eat here anymore. He or she tells you to go eat at the other place down the road if you dont like it.
The only problem is the place down the road probably has even worse food and worse service then this place.

But this place that use to be your favorite restaurant is in complete denial that they are the problem.
When you told the manager about your concerns the manager said that your complaints were not valid.
The manager tells you that you are the problem. Then you tell the manager that if your complaints are not valid how come there are 90% less people in the restaurant today then there was 2 years ago use to be 10000 now less then 1000. The manager then says its because there are new places to go to down the street. It has nothing to do with us.

Then you remember how good your former favorite restaurant use to be before they got the big head and started going downhill.

And you know good and well that your former favorite restaurant could return to its former greatness with just a few adjustments.
All they would have to do was listen to there customers. All they would have to do is return to the way they did things before they got the big head and took there success for granted.

Now you have no financial interest in your former favorite restaurant, but you sure would like to be able to go back there again and enjoy a meal like they cooked 2 years ago.
Because you went to all the other places down the street and they were just as bad or worse.

You miss the days back when your place was king.
And you know they could get back to where they use to be with just a few small adjustments.

The manager wont listen because he or she still lives in the past when there place was the talk of the town.
The manager will keep proclaiming its greatness all the way till the day a for sale sign is on the door.

It's slow but I wouldn't put everything just on the offshore forum...Like defying said, a lot of newer people might not even know what the offshore forum is about.

I wouldn't base ANYTHING on the Offshore Forum.

Isn't this a Sportsbetting Site where people share picks and info?

The Sports Forums is where it's at and in all realite where the action is supposed to be.

Some sites Main Section get more threads because it's the opposite and there is no action in their picks forums.

It really isn't complicated fellas...
