rather be holding my ticket then that Red Wings one you got your hands on. Funny anyway.

Those same words were spoken by many over the years.

Remember when you had a record player and the record would skip once in a while?

funny, I would like to say that we'll talk about it in the play-offs but, not so sure your boys make it to the finals.

I remember a few early exits from the playoffs by heavily favored
Wings teams. Also this year when they had a goalie of the quality
{or lack thereof} of Mike Vernon:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1995_Stanley_Cup_Finals#Game_one

"The series opened on Saturday, June 17 at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Few gave New Jersey much of a chance against the NHL’s best team. Going into the game, Detroit was a perfect 8–0 at home in the playoffs, and had outscored their opponents 30–11 in their eight home games. Detroit fans even chanted after every Devils name was read during introductions "Who Cares?" "

Fault the team if you want, but Craig MacTavish is one of the best coaches in the league. Look at the passion this guy brings to the rink every night. He's not the type of coach who is going to sit back and let things unfold. People are quick to call him an idiot for measuring the stick against Anaheim. People might also want to remember that the 4-3 goal with over 2 minutes left came with the goalie out. Not a lot of coaches would pull the goalie that early. Not a lot of coaches are going to try to get a late PP any way they can.

No team has had more playoff success than the Red Wings in the last 15-20 years, but still they want to bring up the couple 1st round knockouts. I believe the Wings own the longest streak of making the playoffs to date. Oh boy. Don Cherry...your hatred and jealousy spreads far and wide.

No argument with the success, and a fun team to watch play.
