Okay, let me explain this in clear terms to those on the Forum that are a little slow or just plain too ignorant to acknowledge the truth:

1. Last I checked, all 70 Writers and Sportscasters voted Ohio State #1 in the FINAL AP Poll in 2002;

2. Last I checked, all 57 Coaches Voted Ohio State #1 in the Final ESPN/USA Today 2002 Poll - USC, Cryami, LSU and all the other also-ran programs received ZERO 1st place votes after the Fiesta Bowl;

3. Last I checked, the Circuit City BCS Trophy emblematic of the 2002 National Collegiate Football Champion is on display at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on the campus of THE Ohio State University.

All you losers still whining about Terry Porter's call should go on Grassy and drown your sorrows with all of Cryami's fans. I was at the game, Gamble got mugged so get over it. If Miami was so phuckin' dominant, they would have won in regulation instead of having to cry about Terry Porter justly penalizing them in OT.

MightVol;

Just in case you're Gopher fan (since you're obviously too ashamed or simply not man enough to admit who your team is), I will tell you that your coach is still crying tears as big as horse turds about not getting the Ohio State job. Penis envy for Ohio State must run rampant in that state. It must suck having a coach that wishes he was somewhere else.

"We've always had the best damn band in the land. Now we got the best damn TEAM in the land."

I have one thing to say about last year, and then I will move on to this year. Miami never won the national title. Pass interference was called in the end zone. The official who made the call took his time and made the right call. It takes guts to make a CORRECT call like that, especially in the atmosphere. Move on from last year, and give a team credit, we would have if they beat us, just like we give Wisconsin credit for beating us this year.
Now on to this year. Our team is neither flashy or exciting to watch. Heck there are about 100 other offenses in the nation I would rather watch than ours. The bottom line with this whole thing though is, that our offense does what it has to do, it gets turnovers, blocks punts, and gives us great field position. In case you don't understand this, our defense(the best in the nation) is an extension of our offense. It carries us to victory. You Miami, USC, and LSU fans need to realize, that you are having a few good years, Ohio ST. is always in the hunt, but with Tressel at the head, he has put us over the top, something Cooper could not do. So when we are playing in the title game this January, make sure all you wannabes, are back here, so we can read how Oklahoma is going to throttle us. I got a kick out of all of you saying the same thing last year when we played Miami.

Drive, Drive, on down the field, men of the Scarlet and Grey.

I have to admit, some of you are foolish. You act as if you know everything about football. I think very highly of LSU and USC. Hold on,

DUH! by winning the fiesta bowl - osu HAD to get all those votes. the coaches were required to vote for them.

i know you being a homer won't understand this - but trust me - if usc and osu had met in the fiesta bowl - usc woulda won by at least 2 TDs - if not more.

as for this season - nothing woulda changed!

mightyvol, your well thought out posts are certainly a must read. ohio state sux must have been hard to come up with. i'm not pounding my chest here saying osu is the best team in the land, they are just the defending national champs. every year someone out there thinks the best team didn't win. all the crying about ohio state from you people lets me know that you all played miami last year and lost. i can't believe winky has stayed on this usc would've won crap. they lost twice. how could they have been that good. the quality of football is so much better in the big ten that had they played a big ten schedule they may have lost more than that. give a team some credit who finds a way to win every week.

Winkydick and all the other OSU bashers:

You're guys' posts are f'ing ridiculous. You all look foolish in your posts. Saying that OSU sucks and how they shouldnt of been national champs last year really proves how ignorant you all are regarding college football, and most likely, all sports.
They were the only undefeated team in football, PERIOD. So anything that you say is complete nonsense. You can say all the bullshit you want, but all they have to do is throw up the 14-0 season in your face and there aint sh*t you can say about it.

And whoever said they have a favorable schedule should be banned from this site. They are the only team in the country that has played the most top 20 teams this year.

Who has USC played?....Auburn?, BYU, Hawaii, AZ st, Stanford, Notre Dame...well god damn, there's some POWERHOUSE teams for you!
Cal?...oh yea, they lost to them.

Now lets see who LSU has played...LaMonroe, Arizona, Western Illinois..Miss St, S.Carolina, LA Tech....are half of those even Division 1 teams.?????

Now, for OSU...they've played..Washington, NC ST, B.Green, Wisconsin, Iowa, Mich st, Purdue, and Michigan...

I rest my case.
Everybody else can kiss my big fat white ass!

Fellow Buckeye supporters. Quit trying to talk sense to these mental midgets. They are jealous that this current group of Buckeyes have exhibited more heart and determination and have provided more dramatic moments than any CFB team in a long, long time.

Hell, most of them probably foolishly picked Cryami to cover the 13 1/2 point spread in the Fiesta Bowl last year so they're probably still bitter over how foolish they look.

The Buckeyes will be knocking on the doorstop of an NC for year's to come and they will do it the old-fashioned way - by playing excellent defense and special teams and being efficient and conservative on Offense.

These Gen X'ers don't seem to comprehend that football was meant to be played that way and the flashy "we will outscore you" method DOES NOT win championships. Looking pretty doesn't matter at the end of the day. This isn't phuckin' Figure Skating for God's sake!!!

"...And now the party begins for the Ohio State Buckeyes. They are 14-0. And they are the National Champions of College Football."

Michigan 8-2...great job so far!!
I think you've forgotten how to beat the Bucks.

The funny thing is this....If Michigan wins it makes their season. If OSU wins its on to the National Championship...again.

This is some good stuff. Didn't USC lose to a bad team earlier in the season though?

Ohio State will lose rather this weekend against Purdue or at Michigan next weekend. If Purdue isn't overwhelmed by the environment, it will happen this weekend as Boilers have too much balance on offense and has an equal if not better defense.
