You're telling me if you got 10 people in a room they would have all said it wasn't a catch? That's essentially what the rule says, you need conclusive 100% evidence to overturn a call.

You have to maintain possession all the way to the ground.

Everything else doesn't matter. Two fee, one foot, one ass cheek, goal line.......none of that matters if you don't maintain possession all the way to the ground.

If he would have just done his job and caught the ball we would not have to argue about this though.

In your example the receiver would have made a football move by running 20 yards so once he goes to the ground it's a whole different situation.
