If I remember correctly it was something like $10-$12.95 per 24 hour period. Standard hotel stuff. I just hope that they changed the way it was contracted out. CS consists of a guy at home. No joke. He was telling me that he hoped I didn't have any more problems because he had a birthday party to get to. I can only imagine how his life will be when swamped with 100 RX calls!
Labeeb ? what kind of issues could you have had..I have a built in wireless laptop it searchs for the signal and bam im on the net....

OF,
I believe the spa does have a charge for guests, that is the rate quoted.
I just received a memo today that guests can use comp dollars for spa charges, which was not the case previously.

The wireless thing I am not sure of. I know Redeye recently stayed there and used his laptop, so he can answer that better than I. From what I have heard the reception is a little spotty, which is to be expected with a hotel of this age and construction.

I do know that we have a business center, as well as an internet "cafe". These have the standard "resort" charges, which I can imagine are not cheap. Keep in mind when Harrah's purchased the property, they did raise prices but upgraded many departments as well.

I do use the spa on a semi-regular basis as well. It has the standard exercise equipment (small circuit training, a few elliptical machines, bikes, and some dumbbells-not TateHill size, though), as well as a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi.
Nothing like the Canyon Ranch at the Venetian, but more like your standard Holiday Inn fare.

dmmd,
I will not be defending my 85th place from last year, lol.
I will be too busy trying to keep it running smoothly, so I will let someone else take my seat.

Dante, keep in mind this is a secure network, not an open one that anybody can hit.

My problem was that you have to set up an account in order to pay for and access the wireless network. Setting up the account was a bit of a pain, as was accepting my card for payment. I had to call "tech support" which is a one man operation as I spoke about earlier. Even after gaining access to the secure network, the signal was spotty and slow. The impression I had was that the network was still in it's infancy stages (late August 2005), and I would expect that it's been improved by now.

Although more costly, wiring rooms for access is so much better. There aren't many places in a room to go, so working at the desk will do just fine. Accessing the network is usually much easier as well since you can usually just plug and play instead of having a T-Mobile Hotspot account or working with some other provider.

Don't give up on it that easily! The price for the "cafe" was what you'd expect with most business centers if I remember correctly. I had to use it to print off boarding passes.

Like I said, I was under the impression that they were just getting the wireless thing off of the ground when I was there and surely it has improved since then. I'm sure that one of the guys that were just out there could elaborate a little more accurately.

If you don't bring your laptop out only to find things are working great you'll regret it.

Green Dog, the spa is only as good as it's cmt's, or massage therapists. I prefer to use the facilities I am staying at vs. getting dressed/undressed/dressed, or shlepping along the strip in a robe and sandals. Just bs'n about being free. When I was a house player more employees used the facilities than guests. I will probably go with sports, (deep tissue) Swedish, and hot rock massage maybe with aromatherapy. Depending on the blends. Might bring my own oils. My real question is, do you yourself or anyone you know recommend any of the female massage therapists? The facilities themselves seem more than adequate as all I need is a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Most other equipment is standard. Whenever I travel, stay out of town, this is part of the plan. I am wound tighter than a non blue dot softball after flying. Not a better place for me to unwind. Thanks for answers.

Best Wishes...OF :howdy:

Frog,
I personally have not gotten a massage there so cannot vouch for the quality. They do have the treatments you mention, and they are at resort-type prices. I'm guessing like 100-120/ hr or something like that. I know I get half off, so maybe you can pose as an employee, lol.

Dante,
I stopped by the host office on the way out today. Meant to ask them about the wireless thing, but got so excited showin them the Rx page and invite that I forgot. Needless to say, they were impressed.
