Selling a property can be intimidating, but the reality is that the process is relatively easy. I have sold 5-6 houses by myself. If you can afford to advertise a little, hold open houses on weekends, and negotiate a price, there is little need for paying an agent 6%. Escrow does most of the paper leg work.

Hot, I agree that it can be done but for MOST people it is not worth the trouble. Lot of bases to cover.

Yes, there are so many disclosures and forms to fill out. I think RE agents have a much better chance of coming up with the correct asking price. I bought my current house off a private seller, I know he was low on his asking price.

which is odd, because 99% of FSBO's are OVER PRICED!

You are correct on that statement Sherman. FSBO's traditionally are overpriced by the seller, I got lucky and found an exception.

To me its a no-brainer - get an agent, but if you don't mind the work and potential legal issues, I suppose you can save a good amount of $.

One better use of the money comes to mind. The place earns $30 a day tops. I could scalp baseball with large bets and make a lot more than that. think of 2cent scalps with 5 dimes on each side, and 3 or more of those for a day.

So next question is , Who takes these limits besides Pinny and Grande ? Olympic would be one possibility.

I might be able to buy a condo back after baseball season, or a good part of one.

here in CT it is NOT an escrow state....we have title companies
