ML Carr, I believe hit the firt game-winning 3 pointer that season. I don't remmeber who it was but Celts were down by 2, somebody takes a shot with like 2 seconds left, ML grabs a long rebound and runs back to three point line and launches, nothing but net to win the game.

He was always clutch. Me and my college buddies were watching Celts and Lakers in '84 (I think it was Game 6) and there's a time-out as Lakers are down by 1 or 2 and they're gonna inbound the ball. ML wasn't in the game and my buddy Jay s screaming to put ML in there to defend against the inbounds pass. Sure enough, Worthy on the inbounds pass gets picked off by ML, Celts win the game and eventually take the Series. And all was good with the world...

Who didn't like Dr. J??? Or how about in college, seeing Jimmy V's boys pulling off the upset or when Nova, the ultimate underdog, stunned the world. The past was so much better than today's game if you ask me.

Personally I liked Alvan Adams, KJ, and of course Sir Charles being a long-time suffering Suns fan. For other teams I liked Iceman, Alex English, Moses, Dominique, and Artis Gilmore. I hated Kareem, Walton (now more than ever), and Mullin.

I always liked point guard Tim Hardaway. The early days of his career, that "killer crossover" was to hot for tv.
