Iraq is moving in that direction, our presence in Somalia is fractional, or just plan simply insignificant. Do you think if we had a significant presence there, their situation wouldn't be dramatically improved?
All of Europe benefited from our military presence post WWII, as we brought security, peace and rebuilding efforts to those countries. Japan, ditto. South Korea? ditto. Iraqis' future looking better than ever and Afghanistan is actually developing an infrastructure for a change.
It's not to difficult to see the truth. the more blue a country, the more likely they're better off than the gray countries. You actually have to be kinda blind to not see the differences.

You presume a causative effect between having the US military presence and a peaceful society. It's reasonable to submit that since the 1970s, everywhere the US military is occupied would still be just as peaceful and prosperous were they not there.
As for the latter quip, I'm certainly pleased to see that more women who want to terminate unwanted embryos and fetuses will have easier access.
This is indeed a huge money saver on a global scale since having an unwanted baby may well create the biggest finanicial albatross any woman and her family could ever create.
And with increased accurate education on how to plan pregnancies combined with increased access to contraception, we'll further reduce unwanted pregnancies and unwanted babies.
Put thousands (or tens of thousands) of those women in one region and we're going to see increased financial and social health for the world at large.

I'm too lazy to go into the questions of WWII and NATO/Warsaw Pact, but at least in the last twenty years there has not been any security reasons for U.S. troops to remain in Europe, and the economy of Europe most certainly did not need them.
Japan is another nice example. Do you really believe Japan would be worse off if American military had never been in the country?
Or take South and Central America - can you honestly say that people live better in those light blue countries than in the grey ones?
Of course many countries with American presence are prosperous, but so are others without it. Joe C. absolutely failed to show that, on average, countries with U.S. military presence would be worse off without it, and unless you can do better you will have to realise that repeating talking points does not mean you are right.
