Had the US Congress intended for the designated cuts to be permanent, they would have defined them so.

More important is that of course Obama cannot either "raise" or "lower" income tax levels. That power is only held by the United States Congress. If income tax levels for your income level are honestly a strong concern for you, I'd suggest directing your focus to those people running for Congress in the three seats which represent you.

Since you're currently voting in Florida, that would be the two seats currently held by Nelson & Martinez plus whichever person represents you in the US House.

Im not condoning voting for McCain because i think he is just as bad if not worse the BO, but these choices are dreadful more and more every year. Yet people will flock to the next fresh face 100,000 deep in search of something that will never happen. Real change, ie a shift in policy will never come, because the people who put these people in power dont want that to happen. Because they are vested in continuing the status quo. Rob with all due respect, just because Bush was a flaming pile of shit doesnt make it right just to follow the other side of the coin.
