I guess I'm still the only one who doesn't want a playoffs. Would it give us a truer champion every year? Yes, but I can spot the best teams without a championship telling me who it is. The best teams actually don't win the championship more often than they do. A playoff might change that, but I don't really care. Bowl season is exciting and I love it. I would rather keep the bowl system with the BCS, and just tweak it a bit. Teams like Georgia Tech, Boise St and West Virginia have no place in the BCS bowl games this year over teams like Ohio St, Texas Tech (still a fraud in my mind, but they earned it), Georgia and Ok St. Only two teams from the Big 12 will be in the BCS bowls and there's probably about 5 that would go undefeated in the Big East, or ACC or with any non-BCS team's schedule that is currently in the mix for a BCS spot (Utah, BYU, Boise St).
No playoffs, but also no auto bids for crappy conferences.
