as we will continue to increase in population of the have nots and the poor and uneducated that can't provide for their own.....

as the the wealthy and elite gain more power and control over the have nots as the generations roll along

the people you call "smart and capable" are the middle class

the middle class to upper middle class is the backbone of this country

if they continue to shrink in their baby production it will lead to a less fun world for everybody

all your gonna have is a few super rich and hoards of poor....like many 3rd world countries around the world

that said i'm a hypocrite in that i feel its cruel to bring a kid into this world at this point in human history

its pretty obvious we've peaked out near term (near term on the scale of human history) which translates to years or decades

all i'm saying we may be heading for something really bad if we aren't careful

and in general liberalism isn't a sustainable lifestyle over the long haul.....fiscal and moral conservatism with family values is.....

my grandparents generation or somewhere in that area coming out of the rubble of the last GD is what made this country what it is today...they were family first people...think long term about providing for the family and working hard to do it...fiscally and morally conservative......

the liberals that came after them in both economics and socially are ruining it....

the problem i see is i don't see the young people of today wanting to do what my grandparents generation did

and with all the big government and other stuff that has built up over the years there really isn't any incentive for people like me to do it either.....

social security and medicare could be gone by the time we old why the fuck should we participate? as one example....

believe me i feel i've lived a more comfortable life up to this point than 99.9999% of humans that have walked this earth and i'm one lucky mofo....and i don't see that changing.....

its all relative in the end....as much as i preach gloom and doom

its more about mankind at large and looking at things longer term.... not my own personal situation

burn a flag for all i care, and abortions dont bother me at all (late term ones are stretching the lines of decency however) but im for stopping illegal immigration. Ive said this before, and its worth repeating.

My girlfriend is an employee at a welfare office in Pennsylvania, and she is not allowed to report if someone is illegal or not. In fact, they have to be given open medical and open foodstamp and cash if they can provide an ID. Let me repeat this.... they cant report illegal immigrants.

If this isnt alarming i dont know what is when it comes to this topic. Obviously, there are reasons, but i doubt any of them are good enough to spend American tax payers money on people to live off the dole who aren't legal residents. Im not a mathematician, but i would have to say this doesn't compute.

Of course most will be the same. Their jobs is and was the same. My hope is that Obama and the Democrats carry out their duties with loftier goals in mind and with a better understanding of the world around them.
