You may take the drug but you have at Least 14 day withdrawal time before the race.
At which time any level of detection from this drug on race day is a VIOLATION.

Here's a thought....how about delaying the race a week so everybody can have a clear conscience.

Does the Maryland people care?.....No
Do the owners of the horses racing in the Preakness care?.....No
Do the racing fans and betters care if the race gets delayed an extra week so they can find out the TRUTH ?.....Again No

Does Bob Baffert and the racing stooges he employs[ racing officials ] care?....Ahhh Yes....The plot thickens

I agree, Hoss, this would solve a lot of issues in racing. It will never happen, though, because there are too many people at the state level drunk on their own power. They'd never give it up.
