Just calling it as I seen it Jman. I do not even remember all of the trial now, but I do remember feeling very strong that there was not enough proof presented to convince me beyond a reasonable doubt. Keep in mind that his actions and demeanor since has made it easier to form an opinion.

I do agree with you, from OUR standpoint as sportsfans we watched because it was OJ...some of America became fascinated/obsessed because it was a celebrity and soe in fact watched because it was a black man killing a white woman...IMO most watched because Simpson was among the most famous athletes in the world....

As a white male I NEVER looked at the mountain of scientific evidence and convicted him (in my mind) because he was BLACK! I did not want to believe it...I did not look at Simpson and Brown being a mixed race couple even...I looked at it like this, "Thats OJ Simpson, I cannot believe this sh1t!" and I wanted to believe he didn`t do it...not because he was white or black.

Name the book that you want the money to be put up at and that will allow it and I will have the $500 put up before I go to work tommorow. I will be gone tonight because I have to watch the game and do a few other things, but I will check back for the book name and I will send them $500 and let them know to put it aside tommorow morning.


For the record, I certianly dont think there is enough evidence to convict him beyond any reasonable doubt either, but he is accused of killing a pretty woman and he has already been tried and convicted. He will be convicted and 99.9999999999999999 % for sure the death penalty.

DannyMay- you realize this trial could take 8-10 months? Also can we clarify the exact bet here...

If Peterson walks from that courtroom a FREE man after this trial, I win 500.

If Peterson is found guilty of murder you win 100.

I`m not sure if he can be found guilty on some lesser charge. We need to get this worded correct...I assume some book will hold this? Perhaps Grande (they aren`t going anywhere)

FTR- I believe the guy is guilty, I am not so sure though they have 'beyond reasonable doubt evidence' though

OJ being black has nothing to do with America's outrage. Anyone with a heartbeat, you don't even need a brain, knows he did it. Race is a factor in a lot of other things, and you have some points when you talk about OTHER cases. This one, however leaves no doubt.
