General: you are one of the few I have respect for here, since you have actually gone out of your way to aid the players.

With that said, the issue, as Jazz so eloquently said, is that the RX is till claiming to be a place that you should come to if you want to find out what offshore books are safe.

My contention is that 3 of your biggest advertisers in the past year (Blue Marlin, Gamblers Ave, and BetPanAm - the grandaddy of them all) have gone under and left the players with their hands down their pants.

It's one thing to be contrite about the mess with PanAm...its another entirely to continue to spout the same safety BS while a number of your forum members are fighting to get their money out of PanAm, a "highly recommended" book

General, I understand that to a point, but one begins to lose interest in doing so when a site will not take even baby steps to set up even some kind of limited guarantee for new books like some other sites have, even if it isn't for a lot, even when books they've recommended have gone down and hurt a lot of their customers. That suggestion was made by others and myself, and it has been passed over as far as I know. So what's the point in me spending a lot of personal time warning customers about the realities versus what they may have read in misleading ads put out by this site? I'm not going to do it any longer because I don't believe that I want to be helping a site that is floating ads like this, on the one hand, and then expecting posters who have had money in books recommended by the Rx that went 'bye bye' to stick around and spend their time warning others to take everything they read about a book here with a block of salt - I think I have far better things to do with my time, and I would imagine some others would as well, seeing as how it's still 'buyer beware' at this site and no escrow-type programs have been set up.

Nothing I can`t stand more (in the industry) than when this happens...
The Shrink made a mistake (he is the first to admit it) obviously he put alot of trust in people who turned out to be frauds...
Does this mean everything he and TheRx says is bad advice? Is he suppose to just close shop? What exactly is he suppose to do? The ad is just that a general advertisement for a website that gives advice to gamblers about various offshore topics, including where to put your money, where to find good information on who`s a good handicapper, there are many reasons this site is the #1 site of its kind...The PanAm situation is a huge blackeye on TheRx, no doubt...Everyone that is associated with the site is disappointed, embarrased and saddened...The General (and other Mods have helped gamblers all over get money owed to them, many non advertisers as well...TheRx is still the best place to find information..The Mods care greatly for the posters, I don`t understand why certain bashers don`t see this...I don`t think any Mod is here for the money...

Journey: assume you cannot mean me, since I specifically and twice pointed out my comments were NOT directed at ANY mod. Period.

But criticism of this ad is open season - it says 'trust us' when the reality is quite different. Fine - you can call it general advertising, I call it misleading advertising. Period. Because notwithstanding the efforts of the mods to help people who have gotten snared in some of these book meltdowns, this site still refuses to attempt to offer more than their recommendation towards a sportsbook, while publishing ads that are fairy tales.

So good luck convincing others not to buy the recommendations posted asis - me, I'm going back into oblivion and this time I'm staying there in my retirement. I'm not going to spend any second longer after this post trying to provide some kind of rebuking voice because it's useless here - not in the sense of helping an individual poster (but then I'm not getting paid to do that, am I?), but in the sense of making any difference in the running of a commercial enterprise who existence is predicated upon the selling of advertising space for sportsbooks, who will always remain the most important customer, not the people who come here.

I wasn`t saying you in particular were knocking any Moderator,but that happens non stop at other sites, that allow posters to spread bullsh1t lies all day long and leave real names of posters up...Its easy to take shots at us, the site has made some mistakes and should be working on some kind of insurance of any new advertiser..I believe that will happen...
But either way certain agenda driven posters will continue to trash The Shrink, you mention Peeps site lol, isn`t that where JJ is allowed to talk shit about everyone 18 hours a day? If I remember Jazz you were one of the biggest critics of clowns like him, now Peep is allowing him to say whatever he wants just to make his site look busier, my gosh JJ and his 5 friends have that site actually looking like someone is over there now...But of course that is okay? there are already 2 programs being offered to protect the player. Peeps and SGA. Heck, even MW will "cover" people for $500. the players voices and concerns are being addressed and there are a few alternatives that will and do protect the player, they seem to think it is not "a bad business decision"! only a matter of time until more people realize there are great, real ways to protect their money, and whne the players do start to hear and see more of these real alternatives therx will have no choice but to offer up some kind of a program or get out of the way because timesrchanging!

If Ken and russ supported the Neteller thing, we could have a very good plan in place right now, instead they had to shoot it down over a petty "forum war".
