How can anyone in good conscience pray to whatever higher power they have in their life to hit a lottery. If anyone here is going to pray for something pray for our friend and long time poster Xpanda to get well soon.

Personally, I have to admit that I am not one to pray to or for anything (I guess that makes me agnostic). My wife however is a very devout Catholic and prays for causes when I bring them up, right now being a quarter Japanese herself and having a brother and sister with their families trapped in Japan where they have lived for years she has been praying and worrying for them often..
