the stuff that hits the black market in Cali has generally been rejected by the high end dispensaries due to mold, mites or other issues
vegas dispensaries still behind Cali in terms of overall quality, price and selection but def some high quality available
the largest place off the strip in Vegas has a Khalifa Kush that is their signature strain which is pretty bomb but often sold out
but every one of the stores is offering at least 30+ different strains of different quality, thc (or cbd) content etc
Once you are in the store, unless you go to a medical express window (where you don’t get to see, smell etc) they don’t even know who is medical vs rec until you are checking out and they apply the tax etc
i think biggest issue with the whole deal is edibles with the delayed effect combined with people who have low tolerance and not enough knowledge about dosage
you don't have a clue.
Most of you have no idea what you’re taking about lol. 90% of the cannabis in clubs is garbage. If you grow craft cannabis, why would you ever take it to a shop? Not to mention, most of the people selling to the shops have big operations, thousands of hoods. I’ll go with the guy that has 25-100 lol. It has become all about the money, forget the patients. California dropped the ball bigtime. Thank everyone who wanted 64. All the taxes and regulations are going to push people back to the black market.
It’s just a shame, all the greedy politicians spent years making money by locking people up. Now these fuckers want to come in and take over. Fuck em. You can count on someone to post studies that fit their agenda and argument, that have no idea what they’re talking about. Size 15
I have mixed feelings about legalization. I think there are definitely some positive aspects, but I also weigh that against the
fact that many of the people I know that have been smoking pot most of their lives have not been over-achieving, highly
successful people... It hasn't been a positive influence on their lives. But, I guess you can make the analogy with alcohol,
that many people can and do drink responsibly - and some become alcoholics, and it destroys their lives.
I personally don't like weed - can't even remember the last time I even took a hit so it's at least over a year ago - about half my friends smoke weed everyday - of all my friends that smoke only one is financial/jobwise successful
People act like legalization has no downsides, and it's this huge win/win. 20% of women under the age of 24 smoke pot while pregnant (and that figure is only going to rise):
Another area of concern is pregnancy. Many pregnant women suffer from morning sickness. But the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends against using marijuana while pregnant – no matter what.
And the Centers for Disease Control warns that “marijuana use during pregnancy can be harmful to your baby’s health.” Why? The CDC points to research showing low birth weight in infants, along with developmental and attention problems in children born to mothers who smoke pot regularly during pregnancy.
Unfortunately, pot smoking among pregnant women is on the rise and it is bound to rise even more. A study just released from Kaiser Permanente in California and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association revealed that 7 percent of pregnant women surveyed smoked pot, including almost 20 percent of those below the age of 24. The number of pregnant women using marijuana will only increase now that recreational marijuana is legal in California.
When it comes to adolescents and adults, long-term marijuana use has been associatedwith decreased school and job performance, memory loss, and psychiatric disorders including anxiety and depression.
