I think it is just variance. But I won't risk to lose more right now.
As I also has to focus on MLB, I think I will just skip the last 10 days of the MLB season.

You mean the NBA season. I don't know that you necessarily need to skip it, I would rather see you finish it out strong especially since you are trying to gain attention to some other venture of yours.

But sometimes you just need to cut your losses
I take my 18 units every season with joy. It is no shame to stop 10 days before the end of the season to low the risk of having a bad ending streak.
