Shrek and $ 10 million for

here.) Diaz got $ 1.5 million and $ 10 million for the two (see
here.) Despite its perennial popularity as children's books the
Narnia series is an enormous gamble for a movie, given that there is already a perfectly serviceable animated version. That they would lay out that kind of cheese for one voice (especially if the voice isn't a cash machine like James Earl Jones or Patrick Stewart) is insane.
