$108 million for 7 movies. That is normal for Hollywood (relatively speaking). Most of the stars who did Shrek got paid about the same.

Although it is seven installments, because it's voice overs only on a more or less continuous story line it is not that much of a stretch. Even if you do divide it into seven paycheques that's over $ 15 million per. By comparison, Mike Meyers was paid $ 3 million for Shrek and $ 10 million for Shrek 2 (see here) as was Murphy (see here.) Diaz got $ 1.5 million and $ 10 million for the two (see here.) Despite its perennial popularity as children's books the Narnia series is an enormous gamble for a movie, given that there is already a perfectly serviceable animated version. That they would lay out that kind of cheese for one voice (especially if the voice isn't a cash machine like James Earl Jones or Patrick Stewart) is insane.
