Peaceful protest. Don't have a problem with it. Is it lip service but it is a peaceful protest.

Pretty cool, especially if there are a few perks :)
Brother that list is so long I'll stand on the side unless invited. Their family was so known in SoCal. Then you add the people they know from church, the HS and college recruiting circuit and immediate fam. I don't have a shot.

A few pics with the boy after the game and tailgating with the family will be fun tho.

I absolutely get it but I think people basically realize this stuff isn't going anywhere and "Ahh well, Saban gotta do it cause the climate so just pay lip service to it" basically means "That's my rational so I can keep watching because I don't feel like boycotting sports I really like."

It's cool, but seems rather transparent.

Why would anyone boycott because of a something like this. Saban made the correct business decision, I dont like the Black Lives Matter aspect as that is toxic but a one off is not a big deal.
If it were to continue on to the field in an NBA like manner then that is a different story.

I enjoy the posters who know his exact thoughts and motives. "He doesn't really support BLM(like his actions show) he is actually on my side and this is just for show for the program so there is really no conflict of interest for me" How convenient.

Must be nice to be in possession of such powers like mind reading.

Yeah, we'll see how much of a 1 off this is. I'd imagine this virtue signaling isn't going away anytime soon and I think people will rationalize how little it means rather give up watching sports they enjoy (the flip side to this coin is if their guy is no longer in charge, they may see the impact of such displays spilling over into tangible results, but that is a question for another time)

Well so far in the NBA it seems like plenty giving it up. Now NFL will be a test and Im sure the ratings will go down, how much we will see.

I have given up NBA, and MLB for various reasons. NFL I have already cut down watching big time but CFB will be tougher as it is my all time favorite.
But it all comes down to it I enjoy the product more than the BS surrounding it.
