Completely changed like everything else in this country . Makes sense people like beautiful places. My brother in law lives in magnolia . just make sure if you do a renovation put a lock on the porta potty or it becomes a rest stop for the unwanted neighbors sleeping in there cars. my wife And son had the pleasure to walk through chop square while going back to Seattle during Covid for a funeral.
Total surreal scene. Something out of an anarchists movie a similar setting like in 12 monkeys or children of men . I realize that was a crazy time . Seattle was beautiful in 60s 70s 80s even 90s use to see furtrappers come into a building where my father-in-law rented space and had a print shop.
those days long gone.
That was the low point for sure..surreal is right and i thought it was disgusting the popo didn't stop it before it got outa hand.
I feel like it's improving in some ways, in others it's degrading. The main thing for me is it got so crowded the density of the city exploded...
Makes me thankful for where we are now..no traffic, not much crime, no homeless ..i went to the DMV the other day to register my motorcycles and i was in and out in 15 minutes ..funny part was when i walked in it was 100% empty and the dude behind the counter asked me to take a number...i got called 10 seconds later to the counter.
Coming here from LA this still mind blowing.
I feel very lucky..I'm done with cities.
