As a die hard Habs fan, don't take Orr's name in vain! Orr was just 18 when he started, Makar 21. When Orr was 21 he led the league in everything! And the Av's were a good team when Makar joined them, the Bruins were the worst in the league. No denying Makar already is an all-time great, but Orr is at another level, best player ever!
Jeau Beliveau:
I believe Bobby Orr had the greatest impact of any player to come along in my lifetime. He earned his place in hockey history by single handedly changing the game from the style played in my day. In my mind there can be no greater legacy.

Larry Robinson (2-time norris trophy winner):
“I don’t think you ever stopped Bobby Orr. You contained Bobby Orr, but you never stopped him. When we played the Bruins and Bobby had to give up the puck, it was a good play.”

Don Cherry:
"The greatest hockey player who ever lived: Bobby Orr, and I love him."

Serge Savard (8-time Stanley Cup Champion)
"there are stars, superstars, then there's Bobby Orr'

he won The Art Ross, the Hart, The Norris and the Conn Smythe all in the same yr......this feat has never been repeated, and liekly never will

Love how you used quotes from ex-habs! If anyone knows who the greatest is, it's players who played on the greatest team ever! Too bad that dynasty was never really defeated. With Dryden and Lemaire retiring early, and Boutette pulling an Ulf Samuelsson on Lafleur, plus Savard (broken ankle) and Lapointe missing most the series vs Minny they had nothing left. Heck Larouche their other 50 goal scorer also missed game 7. You could have build another dynasty with all the missing players from the Minny series!
