well they wouldn't clear him unless he's 100% right? in this new age of concussion protocol i find it hard to believe they'd even let him skate in warm ups if he wasn't 100%. and whats w/ getzlaf upper body? you think it has anything to do with his face?

This has got to be one of the most exciting Stanley Cup playoffs of all time! Scoring is way up, there has been more fighting, and not the staged fighting you see in the regular season that I absolutely hate, but the passionate in the moment hatred type of fighting. The NHL gets an A+ for the new playoff format.

Agreed!! Only problem is I can't imagine how these guys can keep it up throughout the playoffs! The level of intensity in the first round reminds me of conference finals matchups. Can't miss a single game. This is fun stuff. I mean Blackhawks/Blues, Sharks/Kings first round. That's insane. Too bad I can't win a bet to save my life in the nhl. Who says people don't watch games without action? This is the best entertainment on television.

thats why its great these guys get the crap beat out of them every game basically every other night and you have to do that every game for 4 rounds to win the cup thats why its the best playoffs and hardest championship to win in sports IMO

you would think so, but it's the playoffs, and dumber things have happened, and continue to happen.
I don't see how it could have anything to do with his face, unless he has a secondary infection or something from the cut/stitches. More likely it's a shoulder problem or something, although that's me just guessing.
