It gave San Jose momentum that they did not have. They were losing 3 to 0. Even if it should have been a two minute penalty, San Jose scores one goal and they go back to even strength at a 3 to 1 score. Believe me, Vegas got hosed. The call was just about as bad as the non call in the Saints, Rams game....It totally affected the outcome

disagree. At minimum its 4 min. Although i dont agree with the severity of the call, two things happened;
- a Vegas player took a borderline RETARDED penalty on the road with a 3-0 lead and 10 min left
- Vegas displayed a remarkable level of penalty killing incompetence-- FOUR pp goals on a 5-4 , lol.

bye bye Vegas :)

Interesting take you have on it, after a very high ranking official with the NHL ,(probably Bettman) called The Vegas GM and apologized for even calling it a penalty. And then the NHL promptly suspended the referees involved in that game for the rest of the playoffs. And by the way, I am not a Vegas fan. I am a disappointed Lightning fan. I've seen enough hockey to know when a team has been screwed.

no apology was needed. Bettman has never been the ice his entire life, lol. Blood was drawn, minimum 4 min. No intent, should not have been 5 min. Shit happens in the game ..... an accidental stick catching a face, etc...

Vegas lost it out there , allowing 4 goals in less than 5 min. No one was 'screwed', lol. VEGAS screwed it up.

i cant remember the last time i've seen a hockey game where a team killing a 5 min major allowed 4 goals; im talking Jr hockey, minor hockey, the pros

again, remarkable level of incompetence. Did the HC call a TO at any time?

we live in a society where no one wants to be accountable. FU Vegas cry babies .....clown Bettman apologizing? geesus....

No denying it was a crosscheck. It was at least a 2 minute penalty. 4 minutes is for when blood is drawn on a highsticking call, to my knowledge. 5 minutes is if there was intent to injure. The crosscheck wasn't that bad, but the other player got a piece of him as he was falling which caused the injury, that's what the refs saw. Should have been 2 minutes, but it's not like it wasn't a penalty that caused an injury which will often get 5 minutes. It's called that way all the time when there is an injury. Can't let in 4 PP goals and say you got robbed.

Sharks have scored on like 5 of 50 power plays in the playoffs

How they ever scored 4 on the 5 min major against Vegas is still kinda crazy

Just got back from the Blues game. I wanted my son to get to experience a Game Seven in his life. It didn't disappoint. Dallas has a really nice team and well coached but boys this MIGHT be the year to Blues win it. Pretty much a bucket list for any Blues fan with their history of post season failures.

nice faceoff win by Bozek. He had to leave The Leafs to have a deep playoff run, lol.

GL to the Blues the rest of the way. They certainly have the goalie to pull this off

I think Martin Jones is better. Once of the most under rated goalies in the league. Sharks and Blues match up pretty close. The odds should be pretty tight, Sharks will be favored of course.

Kakko looks sick for Finland, he basically beat Slovakia by himself today .... Everyone says this tournament wont matter and Hughes will go Number 1 in the NHL draft but I don't buy it, Kakko may very well go Number 1, good size and speed, looks like the real deal
