Davidson was talking about the "injury angel" that has ben watching over the Bolts all season long and it's something that I've failed to address in prior posts but it has been amazing. TB has lived the charmed life all year. In retrospect when the Flyers were without Primeau twice this year, they played no better than a playoff also ran. He is a stud and Tampa Bay can not stop this guy.
It seems to me IMHO that the key to winning this series is simply to shut this guy down just as his mission is to shut down Lacavalier. They almost look like they are afraid to hit this guy. I know the Lightning aren't a physical team but give me a break! At least throw a check or two on him when he carrys the puck.
I agree with you Gary. Bolts will be going to the finals. Tampa Bay has more offensive weapons to contend with. Are healthier, younger and as Savant pointed out....own a much better goalie. That game yesterday could have easily gone either way, (which describes nearly every game at this stage).
Every game seems to go to the team that plays hungrier. Yesterday it was the Flyers that needed some biscuits and gravy.
Three game series....anything can happen....but the Lightning have the "injury angel" watching over them. Now if they can only throw a body in front of Primeau.
Enjoy the games.
