I am counting last night's MNF play as a 2* and a 1* play since the original 2* play was locked in at OV 46.5 and then later the additional unit that I added was locked in at OV 47. If the number had stayed the same (46.5) at the time that I added the extra unit, then I would have counted it as a 3* play. I kind of debated how I should count that play and ultimately decided that it was most fair to do it this way since the numbers were slightly different. Let me know if you disagree.
So technically you did not really miss an officially declared 3* play. But I know what you mean.......my increasing the unit total to 3 units was an indicator that it was a very strong play for me, and very much similar to a 3* play.

Yeah, this has been a strange season for even the most reliable systems (Bye Week System, Shoe Rule, Home Dog, etc.). My plan is to continue watching these systems for a bit yet before drawing any finalized conclusions on their success for this season.
Hang in there JOC! I get the feeling you are an extremely experienced and successful bettor, and probably managing to still keep it on the plus side despite the shocking peformance of time proven money makers like the Shoe Rule.
Did you ever see my initial comment (back in week 2 or so) when you mentioned the Shoe Rule the first time this season? I will try to dig it up. But in a nutshell, I wondered if the Shoe Rule should be ammended to take into account places with the new articial grasses, which may not force a change of shoes like the past turfs once did. Food for thought my friend.
