Plain and simple...is there a forum rule that states you HAVE to post a YTD record?
I found this in the Newbies Room:
http://www.therxforum.com/showthread.php?t=882853
"5. Everyone has a bad day from time to time, please do not start your YTD record over if you have one. Post your YTD record if you want but be honest when you do and kindly always use widely available lines.."
"If you want" means you don't HAVE to.
Also, the thread starts off with
"To Members Who May Follow Other Posters: Please be wary of members who post plays that may seem unrealistic to most bettors." The first part of the thread is warning people to follow other people's plays at their own risk, with a bunch of things to look out for. If they don't listen, then it's their fault. No need for people like loomis and mattymatt to be bashing with words. If you want to keep a record of mob's plays, then do what outhouse tim does for therodfather and start your own thread to keep track.
To mods:
In that thread it also says:
Bashing another poster in his or her own picks-thread will not be tolerated.
Violaters will be warned, repeat violaters will be placed on post review for for periods of time commensurate with the degree of bashing or abusive posting.
Eventually mutiple offenders who have been warned on several occasions will be banned from the site indefinitely.
So does this get enforced at all? I'm really tired of having to filter through all the bullshit. It gives off a very negative vibe. There are lots of people like me that value mob's views and opinions, especially in the playoffs.
