The NFL's 2020 schedule is expected to be released on May 9.

That'll help formulate what we're working with regarding a season being played.
2020 NFL schedule set for release Thursday

Circle your calendars and plan ahead.

The 2020 NFL schedule will be unveiled Thursday night at 8 ET on the NFL Network, the NFL app and NFL.com

Opponents for all 32 teams were previously released on Dec. 30, 2019, but Thursday will see the 2020 slate unveiled with times and dates. Hence, Thursday will be the first opportunity to look forward to just when the league's biggest and best matchups will be played.

NFL Network coverage will be highlighted by Schedule Release '20, which will be a three-hour show breaking down the upcoming 2020 NFL regular season with analysis of the biggest games, how divisions are looking and the primetime showdowns.

Live streaming of NFL Network is available across devices (smartphone, PC, tablet and connected TVs) through the NFL app or NFL.com/watch for subscribers of participating NFL Network providers.

The NFL app and NFL.com will provide complete team-by-team and weekly schedules of all 256 regular season games, listing opponents, sites and times.

The NFL family surpassed $100 million in contributions to COVID relief efforts two weeks ago during the Draft-A-Thon and the fundraising continues through this week's schedule release. Fans may continue to contribute if they are able, by visiting NFL.com/relief to support six nonprofit organizations serving those most in need across the nation.

12 games isn't a fucking season shut the fuck up.

And I'm certain you're probably one of the people who have been saying march madness was going to happen, nba and nhl would have their playoffs, and baseball would begin as scheduled.

You're certain huh?
So you would want to wager that you could find something like that?
Or nah? Is this another one of those things you're "certain" about that really just amounts to you running your fucking mouth?

I dont see how they overcome the obstacle when players test postive - which will happen - the protocal is 14 days of quranteen for anyone in contact - a DT gets it - he's out but all week prior he practiced with the D and O line - lawsuits out the ass

I'm fairly certain every player will be tested beforehand, without exception

Then at least randomly throughout the year, if not multiple times throughout the year

Yes, testing is becoming more and more accessible and cheaper with every week that passes. And testing overcomes a lot of obstacles if not every obstacle presented with respect to the players

I'm also certain that if need be still, sports leagues will adopt social distancing guidelines for their players

As for the fans in the stands, we obviously need to move beyond where we are today, and we're heading in that direction

If you read my thread from March, I was thinking "no" to the season being played would be a large underdog.

I'll wager on something along what I responded with regarding nfl when I was asked.

Meanwhile you can watch some Korean baseball.

Haha, rumors could become very valuable :) More so than ever

What's a line-maker going to do?

How about the NFL's injury report policy?

Although with testing I see this thing being under control

Does the same thing happen with influenza? Did it happen with H1N1, SARS? Don't fall for the liberal media hype ......the NFL will take care of it all. They might even make you sign papers where you can't sue anyone........the NFL, & many other corporations will deal with it all professionally.

NFL unveils ticket refund policy that will take effect if games are canceled or played without fans

Although the NFL is currently planning to play a full regular season schedule in 2020, the league is also prepping for the possibility that multiple games could be played without fans or even canceled, and part of that preparation now includes a uniform ticket refund policy that all teams will have to abide by. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell sent out a memo this week that outlined the policy, which calls for teams to give a full refund to any fans who paid for tickets for any game that might be canceled.

Although that might seem like the obvious thing to do, people around the country have had serious issues getting refunds for multiple things during the Coronavirus pandemic, including concert tickets and airline tickets. According to the NFL memo, which was obtained by the Associated Press, the refund policy reads like this: "All clubs will have in place a policy under which, if a game is canceled, or is played under conditions that prohibit fans from attending, anyone purchasing a ticket directly from the club (i.e., season tickets, group sales and/or partial season plans) will have the option of either receiving a full refund or applying the amount paid toward a future ticket purchase directly from the club."

With the league's COVID-19 policy as outlined, not only will fans get a refund if they buy a ticket from the team, but fans who buy tickets on the secondary market could also be in line for a refund. According to the AP, Ticketmaster and SeatGeek have both promised to offer full refunds. On the other hand, StubHub will only be offering refunds where it's required by state law.

The reason the league sent out the memo this week is that the 2020 NFL schedule is being released on Thursday, and once the schedule is out, teams generally start selling tickets almost immediately. By laying out the ticket refund plans now, the league is making sure that NFL fans can buy their tickets with confidence, knowing they can easily get their money back if a game isn't played.

"In preparing for all elements of the 2020 season, including the schedule release, we have considered the unique circumstances facing us this year, and have been clear that all of our decisions will be guided by medical and public health advice and will comply with government regulations," Goodell wrote in the memo. "We will be prepared to make necessary adjustments just as we have in other contexts, such as the offseason program and the draft."

Assuming it doesn't get postponed, the 2020 NFL season is currently scheduled to kick off on Thursday, Sept. 10.
