If a kid gets into a car and drives it into a tree, people can say it was a accident.
Maybe once, twice...three times with the same kid.
But eventually, when it happens over and over, it's anything but an accident or coincidence.
So people have been asking - WHICH GAMES ARE RIGGED?
Having personally watched last night's game live, this was a textbook case, and let me show you why.
Champs were coasting 17-0 at the end of the 1st quarter, game looking like a rout. In college, this is exactly what happens - good teams run up the score.
But this is the NFL.
Adding more intrigue to this storyline, the "sharp money" was heavy on the Jets, even though no possible "football argument" could be made the Jets could cover. Zach Wilson had one of the worst QB ratings in the league facing the League's Best.
Sure enough, almost on cue and like magic, the Jets came alive after that fake gifted safety, followed by a series of flags on every set of downs on both sides, Zach Wilson suddenly could throw a ball, and before you knew it, the Jets were back in business. Threads have been created here highlighting how bad this kid sucks, yet here we go again...
How could anyone "handicap" that?
Remember, it only a takes a series of bad penalties to stall a drive and throw an offense completely out of rhythm, which essentially changes momentum of an entire game.
Routs are bad for TV ratings and sportsbooks, and therefore bad for business. Never forget, the NFL is a BUSINESS first and foremost...not "sports"
Although the outcome was never doubt in that the Chiefs were always going to win the game (the zebras made sure of THAT as well on the winning drive with their flag fest), the ebb and flow of the game was ABSOLUTELY RIGGED AND SCRIPTED.
"Keep it close and interesting, let the chips fall in the final minutes..."
Like watching the same kid driving his car into the same tree over and over....been there, done that, got the t-shirt in the NFL.
