I always enjoy reading the various newsletters.
There are quite a few out there:

The"Gold Sheet", G.S."Tech Sheet", G.S. "C.K.O"

"Point Wise", Point Wise "Red Sheet"

Marc Lawrence: "PlayBook", "Mid-Week Alert"

Phil Steele: "Power Sweep", "Power Plays"

"Winning Points"

There are probaly at least 18 to 24 more newsltters out there, than the 10 I listed above. I'd be typing all day to list the other two dozen (not trying to slight anyone by not listing more of the titles available out there).

I like to purchase at least one newsletter each week. Sometimes maybe two. I enjoy the light reading, that FairWarning mentioned in his post also.

Kevin O'Neill has the Max - which is the weekly that I prefer - he's sells himself, but he's not ridiculous - and he admits his losses and screwups - and he does a good analysis
Good stats, his weekly picks, good analyses with those picks, a few systems each week, what's happening ouyt there, etc. - and NO ads.

By the way - for the stats nuts out there, you aught to check out MRNFL and MRNCAA - Stats computer programs that are updated each tuesday. Thery allow you to set up comparisons YTD, last 4 week, Away vs Home, etc - and best of all, the first 8 weeks are free. - So you really don't have to pay if you don't like it!

Kevin O'Neil has wrote two books that are very good reading also. Bought them both last Summer from GBC. Newsletter is good too.

For those who may be interested, Phil Steele's Northcoast website currently has both his Post Draft and Preseason Issues of Power Sweep available for free in pdf format. You'll need Acrobat Reader Version 5.0 or later in order to download the file. Here is the website:

Best of luck this football season.

The best thing about the Phil Steele book, if you mail in the coupon for the NFL supplement, is that he doesn't hard-sell his products. Never had his service but I respect the work that he puts into the annual

The perfect complement to Phil Steeles book is the Blue Ribbon College Football annual. It is not a tout book. It is a book (like a media guide) that a lot of the media uses. It is the most comprehensive book out there, plus it has all the updates for each team from their spring games. http://www.blueribbonyearbook.com/index.php

Just got my Blue Ribbon Yearbook today. Best book out there, highly recommend it.
