Tough week for handicapping but still a winning week. We’re still ahead for the week at 5-4-1 and 59-38-2 for 8 weeks that I started posted my plays here again.

This week should have been better but the balls didn’t bounce our way. Four of our plays were against highly respected, Westgate contest leader and we hold our own with 2-1-1. Look like tonight we will be against the leader also.

Do you flat bet you’re plays? Or some are heavier than others?

I do flat bet all my actions without variations. It’s the only discipline to prevent chasing and getting you in trouble. I used to bet and posted my plays as “Best Bet” double the amount. Yes, sometimes you like some games more than the others but the chances of winning does not double and winning percentages almost the same. It’s hard enough to win one and I don’t want to give 2-3 away. Moreover, being on the right side does not always win.

I also do not bet parlay. Coming from old school that considers parlay is a “Sucker” bet. (Hope I don’t offenses other people that bet parlay). Same principle of winning one game is already hard enough, then forget about winnings 2 or 3 or 4 in a row. You would not believe how much money I took from “parlay betting” when I was a Book. I do not recall anyone that love to bet parlays ever won money by the year ended. Think about it, the true odd of “parlay 2” is 3 to 1 and “parlay 3” is 8 to 1 but bookie pay you 2.6 to 1 and 6 to 1, respectively. You’re better off betting individual bet 2 times double up on second times or “if” bet paying the vig.

With Tampa Bay right behind their back, all New Orleans wants for Christmas is to win NFC South division. Win these remaining 2 games with little luck, the number 1 seed in conference is right there. While Minnesota after losing to Chicago and almost out of the playoffs picture, wants for Christmas is to pack and fly back home for Christmas. Time to be jolly with family.
