‘OVER’/’UNDER’s OF THE WEEK
NCAA: ‘OVER’ Washington State at Oregon
The Cougars have faced terrible offensive
teams in the non-conference slate and the
Pac-12 opener with Cal played well ‘u
nder’ the number even though both teams
topped 400 yards. There were drive-killing tu
rnovers and the teams
went 1/5 going for
it on 4th downs however. Oregon’s game feat
ured similar missed scoring opportunities
last week and that game also faced a weather postponement.
NCAA: ‘UNDER’ Northwestern at Michigan
There were just 19 points and barely 500 co
mbined totals yards when these teams
met last season in a narrow win for Michigan. Both defenses look even more
formidable this season and the stakes of
this game are much higher than anyone
anticipated with the wi
nner emerging as a potential Big Ten contender.
NFL: ‘OVER 42½’ Buffalo at Tennessee
Tennessee not Buffalo has been one of the top statistical defenses at this point in the
season but the Titans offense should have a good plan of attack off the bye week.
Both teams have averaged more than 350 yards per game on offense and Tyrod
Taylor could get his top receiver back th
is week after struggling last week.
NFL: ‘UNDER 46’ Chicago at Kansas City
With Jay Cutler back and against an Oakland defense that has allowed big numbers
the Bears managed just 22 points in a narrow win. Despite dire projections the Bears
have allowed fewer than 310 yards per game this season and the Chiefs have much
better defensive talent than it has shown facing three 4-0 squads in a row.
