Thanks Mendoza Line! Newsletter Tracking Through Sunday, November 27

Newsletter Tracking through 11/27/2016 by Mendoza Line, posted November 28 at another forum:

Not every newsletter gets posted every week, and I'll try to note when the record doesn't include every week of the season.

Another note is that the grading is based on the line indicated in the newsletter at the time of publication, not the closing line. Many of these newsletters will claim a win against the best available line as it moves throughout the week, but these records reflect the outcome against the line they were willing to make a play on in their newsletter.

College Football Tracking: Thanks jbob!

College Newsletter Tracking through 11/26/2016 by jbob53, posted November 28 at another forum:

I will track 5 newsletters. The lines I use will be from Thursday. I will NOT use the lines
in the newsletters because of so much line movement. Most newsletters are put out
on Tuesday and the line's have been up since Sunday. Also I will NOT use the stars or
unit's in the newsletters. Most people bet a set amount on each bet. Nothing hurts more
than playing 6 games and winning 4 and lose money. Plus I do NOT recommend that you
blindly play their picks.
Well after 13 weeks the best any of them could do is win 7 games more than they lost.
Powers Picks and Powersweep both came in with the most wins. On the flip side,Playbook
just shit the bed all year long. I will say that Playbook Midweek was on fire the last 4 weeks.
If you played stars or units, Powers Picks was very good. Powersweep would have sent you
to the poor house. There are only a handful of games this weekend. I will not start tracking
again until the Bowls start. I'm sure they will all start telling you how great they have been
in the Bowls the last 2 or 3 years. I'm calling bullshit on that.

NOTE:
My tracking was done using lines that I got on Thursdays and Fridays. If you used lines from
the newsletters or from early in the week or for that matter the closing lines, You would have
different results. Some people say the opening lines are "soft" I say that is a myth. If that was
the case there would not be thousands of places to make bets. The people that put out the lines
are SMART. You can use your power charts, trends and history and still lose by 50.
If you stayed with me though this long rant,,,Thanks. Now on to Championship Week and the Bowls...Jbob
