So awesome! Do you have Northcoast power plays? I bought it the past several years and like it for reference. Thanks again for posting the newsletters! Awesome!

Newsletter Tracking

Many people here are probably already familiar with my tracking thread from the other place. I wish that wasn’t the only place I’d saved that template lol

I’ll do my best to recreate it here. Shouldn’t take too long to get it rolling properly.

The records here will reflect the lines listed in the newsletters at the time the plays were published. This is for the rated plays, the high-ranking plays, and any type of play worth tracking. There’s no reason to keep track of every bottom-tier or “recommended” play; it’s not worth the work. Sometimes the newsletters will cheat a little by claiming a different common or later line if it turns a loss into a push or otherwise boosts their record. I’ll usually be able to note what happened to explain the discrepancy. I’ll also highlight particularly good or bad weekends or short-term runs. I will not include picks from newsletter issues that we don’t get in time.

Some of these will be great follows, some will be great fades, but most won’t show a significant pattern either way.

Sometimes the newsletters will cheat a little by claiming a different common or later line if it turns a loss into a push or otherwise boosts their record. I’ll usually be able to note what happened to explain the discrepancy. For example, in this week's BG/Liberty game, Winning Points lost Liberty -10.5, while ITPB pushed with BG +10. If either tries to claim otherwise, they're lying to you.

I’ll also highlight particularly good or bad weekends or short-term runs. I will not include picks from newsletter issues that we don’t get in time.

Is Brad Powers not putting picks in his newsletter this year?

Seems you got to buy his VIP service to get his picks. From his first issue of Powers' Ratings:

"In this issue you will find our latest CFB power ratings and our latest
bets. Do note we release many of our plays early to VIP customers. With
each passing year, we have more influence on markets and if getting the ab-
solute best number is important to you, VIP might be worth your while this
season. It is $599. You will receive the picks via email and text. You can
sign up today at bradpowerssports.com. If you want to learn more about
the differences between our weekly newsletter vs VIP service, refer to the
bottom of this page or email brad@bradpowerssports.com
Keep in mind, this year’s newsletter will just have data info like logs and
power ratings and all the opening bets we made at Circa. No write-ups or
NFL! If you want CFB picks, but can’t afford the $599 VIP, we recommend
betting our power ratings on page 4. For the past seven seasons we have
posted computer projected lines for every game. Games where there was
of difference of more than 3 points saw our computer lines actually
beat the Vegas line at a 468-395-14 (54.2%) clip! That’s pretty solid and
actually better than our own handicapping in some seasons. Keep in mind,
these computer lines don’t take into consideration off-the-field factors like
revenge or flat spots or if there are late-week injuries. They are basically a
power-rating number difference between the two teams that also takes into
consideration the home field advantage."
