Newport:

What do you think of the Patriots vs. Steelers this weekend? I think Belichick comes up with a great game plan for Roethlisberger and the Patriots cover. I am not sure Steelers are for real.

I will not say that the Steelers cannot beat them, but anything can happen.

I would buy the spread to 2 and take the PATS simply because Rothly is due for a blitzathon, and the patriots can do it. He also is due for a INT day.

But moe importantly, if DALLAS can move the ball via the pass on the Steelers, the Brady if healthy should be able to move the ball all day on that defense. Game is in Pitt though, and if it is raining....then all bets are off. Nice day on a clean track....YOU HAVE TO LOVE THE PATS

AP,

Hold on before taking the Ravens until they determine if Ogden is playing. If he does, take em. McAllister will shut down Me-O. The Ravens will pound the ball. After watching the Browns run down the Eagles throats yesterday, the Ravens O-line will be foaming at the mouth. Without JO, the Ravens are done. JO normally rules Kearse but in the pre-season game they put Kearse on the other side. Heap will most likely play and Mike Flynn is back. I knew going to college in Baltimore all those years would make you root for a Baltimore team at some point. I heard Jon Runyan on the radio tonight call Ray and Jamal criminals and Primetime too old. Nice blackboard material early in the week. Westbrook will not be 100% and the Ravens have the D backs to cover the Eagles guys. Ravens outright if JO plays.

Heap will still be gimpy and we will own him this week. Flynn who cares.

Can't help what Runyan says...if you want to talk about bulletin board material how about Lewis the entire offseason after TO told them to :finger: off. Billick is too busy with his ego to care what anyone else says anyways.

Ravens are toast this week regardless of Westbrook's status. It will be a good game but the Ravens don't scare me after they got torched by Cleveland earlier this year. I know what they're about..Jamal Lewis is sorely missed (but not by us). :)

MB what you write makes a lot of sense. If the weather is rainy it also favors the ravens as well. Dallas sucks but I would take them at home against Detroit this week. Skins???

I would think the Skins would be improved off of a bye. I saw Arrington got hurt again today. I am with you on the Bengals outright tonight. I posted it in Slim's thread last night. I actually read Billick's comments from his press conference and it doesn't look good for Heap and Ogden was on crutches today.

Sportsbet,
The Ravens lost at Cleveland as the best tackle in football did not play. Ethan Brooks gave up 3 sacks in his place. That's why I advised newport to wait on JO. What were TO's stats vs McAllister last year? 3 for 23. Who are you kidding? Without Westbrook, the Eagles are done. Did you watch Musa Smith run all over the Eagles in pre-season? Chester Taylor had 89 yards yesterday. It's the line that makes the Ravens RB's go. Jamal's previous backup is doing ok these days with the Chiefs. Also, Ray Lewis was responding to Owen's comments this summer. The latest Me-O comments from his book are big in Baltimore this week. He says Ozzie Newsome(Best GM in football) used a racist comment during a conversation with Owens over the summer. He states Newsome told him sometimes black men need to be slapped. Well guess what. Here comes Ray and Chris to slap him all over the field this week. Billick is the man. When you see him this week inflating his ego, take a look at the ring on his finger. Then look at fat-man Reid and his one word answers. The only thing on his finger is a constant tan line from his wedding ring. He gets this from his yearly trip to Hawaii. Marvin Lewis even has a shiny ring on tonight. The Eagles are not as good as everyone around here(Philly) thinks they are. They finally played an AFC team and barely won. Also, that Eagles cheer is plagarized from J-E-T-S, Jets Jets Jets. It's all in fun. You should see the looks I get when I head into WaWa wearing the purple. I have my 4 year old saying "watch out for Ray" anytime someone says an Eagles cheer. If you like I can give you a good place to get a picture of Primetime high-stepping into the end zone. It would make a great screen-saver. It's all in fun. I don't dislike the Eagles. Good luck.

All good Jacks...the Ravens really aren't on our radar other than the TO thing (and the fact that Philly's south suburb makes noise once in awhile). I don't see the Birds having the same type of horrible tackling/unfocused play they had this week against the Brownie troop. I was concerned greatly about that game because it was a perfect flat spot for them (off the Carolina game and before the Ravens and Steelers the next two weeks..both are huge for us). I think they will step it up at home against a Ravens offense that isn't really that good. Our corners shut down better receivers in Cleveland than we will see in Baltimore this week (that's with the fact that we couldn't stop the run). Boller is going to really have problems with our blitz packages (like most QB's in the league). I think he makes more mistakes than Donovan and that'll be the difference. It will be a good game though..and a close game but I think we win.

It's too bad you're up here taking the abuse. Trust me you're not alone I am good friends with 2 Skins fans up here and they were roooting really hard for the Brownie troop on Sunday. :)
