Martingale is a system most commonly associated with roulette, but can be applied to any even money wagering. It's a negative progression system that requires all losing bets be doubled until a win is achieved, thereby profting one unit before restarting the progression. This would be a perfect system IF there were no betting limits and one's bankroll was infinite.
But, it really IS "a bad money management system that usually involved doubling your bets when you lose."
