the bottom line is i do not like to be accused of anything... first i get accused of always posting late... then i come to find out that it was do to the fact that i was on post review which i had no idea it was not like this for other people.

and then i get accused of having two user names... i do not understand that..

me having a big ego.. HAHAHA yea i have heard that on more then one occasion, but seriously i know im good at what i do so if you cant deal with my EGO thats on you....

BOTTOM LINE is im tired of all this.
im not threatening to leave or whatever.. but i dont see any value to myself to post here...
it seriously caused me to lose focus at one point and lose some money, (although still ending the week in the positive...)

i hope i can just post to those who appreciate my plays like bank it and bigtom and many others who i know who follow...

but im sorry my EGO is big and it does affect me so for that i DO APOLOGIZE....

dont trip lock.. BAS will look over it carefully again and see there was a mistake somewhere and then all will be back to normal.

Did a lookup and CIDR 63.170.64.0/23 is assigned to a single large ISP. I'm not sure how you would know which of these IP addresses are used for their Corporate systems and which are used for their ISP services? If the IP address they posted from is for their internet service then it is quite possible that they were assigned the same IP address when they connected to the Internet assuming they weren't connected at the same time (i.e. one person connected and disconnected and the other person connected afterwards).

That's fine if we were talking about a dynamic IP, but we are Not.
The IP address that Both have used is a static IP. Also, it depends on what Tool you are using to trace the IP in question.

A static IP address is a number in the form of a dotted quad that is assigned to a computer by an Internet service provider (ISP) to be its permanent address on the Internet. Computers use IP addresses to locate and talk to each other on the Internet, much the same way people use phone numbers to locate and talk to one another on the telephone.

When you want to visit whatis.com, your computer asks a domain name system (DNS) server (think telephone information operator) for the correct dotted quad number (think phone number) for whatis.com and your computer uses the answer it receives to connect to the whatis.com server.

It would be simple if every computer that connects to the Internet could have its own static IP number, but when the Internet was first conceived, the architects didn't foresee the need for an unlimited number of IP addresses. Consequently, there are not enough IP numbers to go around.

To get around that problem, many Internet service providers limit the number of static IP addresses they allocate, and economize on the remaining number of IP addresses they possess by temporarily assigning an IP address to a requesting Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) computer from a pool of IP addresses.

The temporary IP address is called a dynamic IP address, which the one we are talking about is Not.

Understood, I assumed it was a dynamic IP but re-reading everythng again it's likely a static IP.

I work for a large ISP for 22 years now, setup DHCP, PPoE and static IP address assignments for our network services for 12 years then moved into network security.
